Welcome to The Urban Citizen’s View. This is a blog devoted to issues of urban development and governance, citizenship and citizen participation, and broader issues of international development and democracy strengthening. I’ll be posting my observations, musings, research and analysis, as well as talking about ongoing projects (PhD dissertation, NGO start-up, etc.). Since I work for USAID in Guatemala City, much of my material will be drawn from Guatemala. Yet I will also be including broader, global events, case studies and trends.
